Hotel Richelieu - Menton

I had a fantastic experience with a great shower and comfortable room, and the breakfast was distinctively French! Just a heads up, the rooms are a bit small but okay. I'd return for sure!

Small room, but easy to find. Easy to access Monte Carlo and the rest of the places along the coast.

Wireless internet would not connect and the man at the front dest did not speak very good English so couldn't ask for help.

The close proximity to the train and bus station, old town, waterfront and a supermarket.

Consider requesting a room at the back of the hotel for a quieter experience away from street noise.

The hotel is located near the train and bus station, the casino and the beach. The hotel manager and staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel manager also speaks good english and would gladly provide directions on how to get to the nearby attractions and museums. The other staff do not speak english but were very friendly, would always greet the visitors along the corridor. I was able to communicate with them in a mixture of english and the very little french I know. The staff even helped us book a taxi to get to the train station because we have a lot of luggages with us.

The neighbour towns and Menton's beach is beautiful.

Tidy place with polite and welcoming staff members and mountain views. Relaxing triple room, exceptionally comfortable beds. Quick check in and late check out. Very good internet, parking nearby. Very comfortable overall experience.

It's not all bad, but it's not all good

The staff was really good, going above and beyond to. The location is prime, close to the beach and surrounded by good eateries.

While the ambiance is charming, the breakfast options left much to be desired. It felt overpriced for what was offered.

problem with sink faucets in room 27 difficulty to turn on and off, nearly impossible to use. breakfast room had stack of boxes in a corner, not very attractive, I suppose that it was for temporary use.

Charming spot near the coastline

Hotel Richelieu has a fantastic location, just a 10-minute walk from shops, cafes, and the beach. The staff's friendliness created a cute atmosphere, and the air conditioning was a blessing during warm nights.

My room was quite small, to be expected in a 2-star hotel. The walls were thin, so I could hear neighbors at times, which affected my sleep.

The staff was very nice.

The bed was very old and uncomfortable. We were promised parking at 9 Euro per night but had to pay 12 because we left on Sunday and there no officials about. I had requested a room on the street but was given a room on an alley.

Location

Room not clean - many hairs on bedding and floor, dust balls on floor. Wifi did not work in room (this seems to happen often in Europe - Yes, we have Wifi, as long as you come down to the lobby and are patient with the others trying to access the internet. To install a couple of extra routers/repeaters may cost a couple hundred dollars
